Description

The Maison du Savoir-Faire et de la Création is a public interest organisation affiliated with UFIMH and funded by DEFI, which was launched in 2011 by professional organisations in the sector. Its main objective is to promote French clothing manufacturers that possess unique artisanal and industrial expertise, the diversity of which is often overlooked. Thanks to its free-to-use platform, it facilitates connections between contractors and manufacturers to promote local production, which preserves expertise and supports regional economies. It thus contributes to the revival of the clothing industry, while adopting a sustainable approach. Much more than a directory, the platform has a qualified database that is regularly updated. Company information is verified by our teams and supplemented by workshop visits to accurately identify manufacturers' expertise. Our platform has become the industry's go-to tool for finding manufacturing partners: - 600 companies are currently listed on the platform. In addition to the unique expertise of manufacturers and producers, the platform also hosts textile and clothing service providers, as well as material and component suppliers, enabling global sourcing across the entire value chain. - Nearly 700 contractors, brands and designers use the platform to easily find manufacturers that meet their specific needs. - The platform also attaches great importance to companies' CSR commitments, listing more than 30 labels and certifications on the manufacturers' profiles. Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of French workshops and its expertise in manufacturing issues, the Maison du Savoir-Faire et de la Création team offers tailor-made advice and bespoke support to fashion brands and young designers to help them with their Made in France projects.
